Paul and Amanda Markham created and built San Diego Sunshine in 2015​​

Jesse and Melissa Lanini fell in love with Sunshine around the same time and became members.

 

The excitement of the craft had taken hold. Little did they know, they would purchase the business from the Markhams in 2025.

 

It all started with the perfect date night kick off spot, turned into a part-time gig for Jesse. He started selling spirits to local bars and liquor stores and it wasn't long before Jesse started to work the tasting room and help with Paul with distilling. Jesse's love for whiskey and his gift of gab came together to create a fun spot to have a cocktail and learn about the distillation process.
