​Paul and Amanda Markham started San Diego Sunshine in 2015. They poured their heart and souls into the distillery. During COVID they were blessed with Paul Jr. Since then, their lives have shifted, and all of their heart and soul is poured into Paul Jr. In 2025 they decided to step back from the business and pass it along, to long time, employee and friend Jesse Lanini. 

 

Jesse's love for the craft and enthusiasm are evident when pouring in the tasting room. Jesse and his wife of 19 years Melissa are excited to bring fresh ideas and new events into the mix.
